The second level WSET Level 2 Award in Wines course takes a deeper look at the different wine regions and the wines produced there. No previous wine studies are required and all wine enthusiasts and people working with wine are welcome to attend.
For many, describing wines and verbalising observations is a challenge. On the WSET course you will learn the vocabulary of wine description and learn how to make logical and understandable wine evaluations. The further you progress in your studies, the more you will learn what these observations mean in wine (production, climate, age, etc.). A wine enthusiast can get much more out of wine with a little study. For those working in wine, now or in the future, this skill is vital.
The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) training courses are internationally renowned and the most prestigious qualifications in the sector. Wine studies give you an important advantage in the job market, show your level of knowledge and prove your motivation to study wine. WSET is the world’s largest wine educator and the WSET diploma is internationally recognised and respected. The language of the course material and the exam is English.

WSET Level 2 schedule:
13.1 Wine appreciation, food and wine pairing, red wine production
20.1 White wine, dessert wine and rosé production, white grape varieties.
27.1 Red grape varieties.
3.2 Italian wines, sparkling wines and fortified wines.
10.2 Review and exam. (Online exam on later date is also possible.)
Evening classes from 17:30 to 21:00 in a wine cellar in the centre of Helsinki.
The exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions with a 1 hour answer time.

WSET Level 2 Online
The WSET wine qualification can also be taken as an online course. Language for the course in English. An online course may also be a suitable option for those who live further away from Helsinki or Tampere, or if their work allows them to taste a lot of wines.
WSET Level 1 and 2 courses can be done at home, including the multiple choice exam with remote invigilation.
